Preview: Klein Oak vs. Klein Forest
Klein Oak is 10-0 against Klein Forest since March of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Klein Oak Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Klein Forest Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Klein Oak is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Texas (they are ranked 160th, while Klein Forest is ranked 443rd).
Klein Oak has not lost a match since January 16th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They never let Waller onto the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Klein Oak considering their one-goal performance the match before.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Klein Forest's offense. They suffered a rough 6-0 loss at the hands of Klein on Friday. Klein Forest has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Klein Oak's victory bumped their record up to 4-5-5. As for Klein Forest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-2 record this season.
Klein Oak took their win against Klein Forest when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Klein Oak since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
