Basketball Recap: Sarah Mansur's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Norborne over Wellsville-Middletown

On Thursday, the Norborne Pirates ended up a good deal behind the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers and lost 53-35.

Norborne's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarah Mansur, who posted nine points and five boards. Avi Leabo was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven rebounds.

Norborne's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Wellsville-Middletown, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12.

Norborne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-31 victory against Bevier on the 31st. As for Wellsville-Middletown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 60-30 defeat against Higbee on the 1st.
