Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Snider Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fort Wayne South Side on Thursday, Fort Wayne Snider came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Norwell Knights on Saturday.

Jasmine Gates paced Fort Wayne Snider's offense, picking up five kills. Gates got some help from Lindsay Gonzalez and her 12 assists. Gonzalez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Leading Norwell to victory were Autumn Lee and Bria Reinhard. Lee had four digs and three aces, while Reinhard had two aces. That's the most aces Reinhard has posted over her last nine matches.

Fort Wayne Snider now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Norwell, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Coincidentally, Fort Wayne Snider and Norwell will both be playing Wapahani the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Raiders at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
