Recap: Blountstown Tigers vs. Cottondale Hornets
The Blountstown Tigers stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Cottondale for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-14 win at home. Blountstown's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blountstown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cyianna Smith, who scored 20 points. Smith has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times she's played. Jalynn Copeland was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Blountstown pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Cottondale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Blountstown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sneads at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. Sneads will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while Blountstown is ranked 223rd). Cottondale won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Malone at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th.
