Softball Game Preview: Huron Chiefs vs. Trenton Trojans

The Huron Chiefs will square off against the Trenton Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games Huron has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, it was close, but Huron sidestepped Airport for a 7-5 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chiefs have posted against the Jets since April 22, 2022.

Meanwhile, Trenton unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Allen Park, falling 16-0. The Trojans were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matches prior), but the Jaguars' pitcher proved too tough.

Huron is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Trenton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
