Softball Recap: Navasota Comes Up Short

Navasota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Smithville Tigers, falling 10-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Friday.

Navasota's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Smithville, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5-1.

Navasota wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against La Grange on the 11th. Smithville has also already played their next match (against Bellville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
