Baseball Recap: Roseau Find Success

Roseau lost to Red Lake County Central back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since May 28, 2024.

Bo Paulson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Roseau is 3-1 when Paulson allows one or fewer earned runs, but 0-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Austin Klint was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tucker Kvien, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Roseau always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Roseau's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Red Lake County Central, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.

Coming up, Roseau will head out to challenge Thief River Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Prowlers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Red Lake County Central, they will welcome Fertile-Beltrami at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
