Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Heritage Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Ludlow on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8-1. As for Ludlow, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Academy will venture away from home to take on Whitefield Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ludlow, they will take on Grant County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
