Football Game Preview: Cambridge Christian vs. Bradenton Christian

Bradenton Christian will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Cambridge Christian at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close game.

The match between Bradenton Christian and Out-of-Door Academy last week was not a total blowout, but with Bradenton Christian falling 24-40, it was darn close. Bradenton Christian got a solid performance out of sophomore E.J. Williams, who caught passes for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.

Meanwhile, Cambridge Christian ran circles around Bishop Snyder, and the extra yardage (362 yards vs. 139.3 yards) paid off. Cambridge Christian put a hurting on Bishop Snyder to the tune of 53-12. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-6.

Cambridge Christian's victory lifted them to 2-2 while Bradenton Christian's loss dropped them down to 0-3. In their victory, Cambridge Christian relied heavily on junior Mikal Willeke, who passed for 163 yards and 3 touchdowns. Bradenton Christian will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
