In other batting news, Scarborough got a massive performance out of Alana Sawyer, who went 1-for-2 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Laine Niles was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5.

Deering took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Portland. The loss continues a trend for Deering in their matchups with Portland: they've now lost six in a row.
