Basketball Recap: Pine Hills Adventist Comes Up Short

Pine Hills Adventist lost against Victory Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pine Hills Adventist Eagles were dealt a 54-17 loss at the hands of the Victory Christian Vikings. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

Pine Hills Adventist's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brennan Reese, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks, and David Ferolino, who earned five points.

Victory Christian found their leader in sophomore Luke Smith, who scored 26 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Victory Christian's points. Ben Milward was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Pine Hills Adventist now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Victory Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Pine Hills Adventist will head out to take on Adventure Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Adventure Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. As for Victory Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-42 loss against Sacramento Waldorf on the 4th.
