Baseball Game Preview: Hingham Harbormen vs. Duxbury Dragons

Hingham is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Duxbury is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Harbormen will welcome the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hingham 3.8, Duxbury 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Hingham's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Monday's struggle, when Hanover hitters got past them. The Harbormen fell 11-8 to the Hawks on Monday. The Harbormen haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Duxbury didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Scituate 7-6. That's two games straight that the Dragons have won by just one run.

Hingham's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Duxbury, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1-1.

Hingham was able to grind out a solid win over Duxbury when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 6-2. Will the Harbormen repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
