Volleyball Recap: Corinth Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Madison Braim and Addy Cook

Corinth lost against Argyle back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Riverhawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scots. While the Riverhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Scots 25-19 in the first set.

Corinth started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-15, 25-12, 26-24.

Corinth's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addy Cook, who had 15 digs, and Madison Braim, who had 12 assists and six digs. Cook is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Kyleigh Dennis was nothing short of spectacular for Argyle: she had 18 digs and three aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Corinth and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Argyle, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Corinth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Granville on the 8th. As for Argyle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Fort Edward on the 4th.
