Basketball Recap: Anna-Jonesboro Comes Up Short

Anna-Jonesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the DuQuoin Indians. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 59-36.

Anna-Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for DuQuoin, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.

Anna-Jonesboro will venture away from home to take on Frankfort at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for DuQuoin, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Nashville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nashville will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something DuQuoin surely won't give up without a fight.
