Softball Recap: Cinco Ranch Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Cinco Ranch faced off against Paetow on Friday. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Panthers 4-3. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Lindsey Deleon, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Savannah Penny was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Cinco Ranch hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Cinco Ranch's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Paetow, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Cinco Ranch didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Tompkins on the 8th. As for Paetow, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Seven Lakes on the 8th.
