Volleyball Game Preview: Plainview Pirates vs. Bloomfield Bees

The Plainview Pirates will square off against the Bloomfield Bees on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Plainview came up short against Elgin/Pope John and fell 2-0. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Plainview ultimately came up short, they really made Elgin/Pope John work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield posted their closest win since August 28th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Niobrara/Verdigre 3-2. The Bees haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Plainview, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-5.

Plainview was able to grind out a solid win over Bloomfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Bees have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
