Baseball Game Preview: Scott County Central Braves vs. Meadow Heights Panthers

The Scott County Central Braves will venture away from home to take on the Meadow Heights Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Scott County Central is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Clarkton hit Scott County Central with a six-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Braves lost 15-5 to the Reindeer.

Jayden Easter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Ballew, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Meadow Heights made easy work of Scott County Central on Tuesday and carried off a 15-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Hayes Miller was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Isaiah Long also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meadow Heights always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Scott County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Meadow Heights, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Scott County Central might still be hurting after the 15-2 loss they got from Meadow Heights in their previous matchup on Tuesday. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
