Baseball Game Preview: Wade Hampton Generals vs. James F. Byrnes Rebels

The Wade Hampton Generals will head out on the road to face off against the James F. Byrnes Rebels at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Wade Hampton is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Wade Hampton didn't have quite enough to beat Boiling Springs and fell 3-2.

Wade Hampton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonas Moore, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, James F. Byrnes suffered their biggest loss since March 19th on Friday. They lost 16-6 to Eastside. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blake Collins and Connor Crenshaw did some serious damage despite the final result: Collins went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs, while Crenshaw went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

James F. Byrnes' defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Wade Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Wade Hampton was able to grind out a solid victory over James F. Byrnes in their previous meeting last Wednesday, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
