Football Recap: Canyon Piles Up the Points Against Santa Ana

Canyon never let their opponents score on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 38-0 victory over the Santa Ana Saints. The Comanches not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 31, 2024 (when they won 42-0).

Alexander Lundsberg had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 152 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 81% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Canyon's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-5 otherwise.

Canyon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of James Munro and Hunter Lake. Munro got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Canyon's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Santa Ana, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Canyon nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
