Baseball Game Preview: Johnson Governors vs. St. Paul Central Minutemen

For the second straight game, Johnson will face off against St. Paul Central. The Governors will square off against the Minutemen at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Johnson is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Johnson came up short against St. Paul Central on Monday, falling 11-4.

For St. Paul Central's part, Billy Vander Aarde made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those six strikeouts gave Vander Aarde a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Entenman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sam Henrickson, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three RBI.

Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Paul Central, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
