Volleyball Recap: Green Hill Takes Down Siegel in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Green Hill had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Siegel Stars by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won seven games in a row.

George Stevens had another great game (as he tends to do), getting 12 kills, five aces, and three digs. Stevens is crushing it when it comes to aces: he's served at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Witt, who had 13 assists and one block.

They weren't the only good server: Green Hill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Green Hill's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Siegel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Green Hill has already played their next game (against Arlington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Siegel will be paying especially close attention to the Hawks' matchup: after the Hawks face off against Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy, they'll take on Siegel again at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
