Xavier had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Waterloo West Wahawks with a sharp 11-3 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lancers also won the last time the pair played back in June of 2025.

Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Waterloo West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Xavier will square off against Decorah-North Winneshiek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Waterloo West, they will face off against Columbus Catholic at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
