Football Recap: Frenship Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Frenship had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Byron Nelson Bobcat, falling 30-7. The Tigers lost against the Bobcat in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 48-46 score last time.

Parker Almanza had a dynamite game For Byron Nelson., throwing for 178 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 63 yards and one score. Franck Makong was another key player, gaining 93 total yards and a touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frenship will square off against Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Byron Nelson, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
