Softball Recap: William Blount's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

William Blount lost to Halls back in April of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The William Blount Governors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Halls Red Devils a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Governors have won by just one run.

The result came thanks to Katee Owens's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, William Blount saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Merriman, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

William Blount's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

William Blount didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-1 win against Hardin Valley Academy on the 6th. As for Halls, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Clinton on the 6th.
