Volleyball Recap: Benton Comes Up Short

Benton had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it four. They lost 3-0 to the Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Roosters/Chicks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Pleasant Hill, with the victory, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-11. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 31, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Leading Pleasant Hill to victory were Addison Brazzle and Haley Dimarco. Brazzle had 16 digs and two aces, while Dimarco had 11 digs and one assist. Those 16 digs gave Brazzle a new career-high.

Coming up, Benton will face off against Chillicothe at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Pleasant Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Christ Prep Academy on the 18th.
