Basketball Game Preview: Satellite Scorpions vs. West Shore Wildcats

The Satellite Scorpions will take on the West Shore Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Satellite was able to grind out a solid win over Cocoa Beach, taking the game 36-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scorpions.

Satellite found their leader in freshman Halyn Hargis, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Bishop, who scored seven points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Shore). They blew past Odyssey Charter School 51-28 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wildcats have posted since November 20, 2024.

West Shore's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Satellite, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Satellite strolled past West Shore in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 47-30. Will Satellite repeat their success, or does West Shore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
