Softball Recap: Hanford Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Kamiakin

Hanford faced Kamiakin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Falcons fell just short of the Braves by a score of 5-4. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Kenzie Hofstad was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, one stolen base, and one run.

Hanford's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Kamiakin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hanford and Kamiakin will both be playing Pasco the next time they take the field. The Braves will head out to face the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Falcons will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
