It was a good run, but Western unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Orange Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Pioneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Western's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4-3. As for Orange, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western will take on Rancho Alamitos at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Western is facing Rancho Alamitos at the right time seeing as Rancho Alamitos is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Orange, they will face off against Bolsa Grande at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
