North Star has gone 9-1 against Blacklick Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. North Star is taking a road trip to take on Blacklick Valley at 4:15 p.m.

North Star lost 14-6 to Williamsburg on Thursday.

Cash Hawkins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Retassie, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Blacklick Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Red Dragons by a score of 6-3.

Collin Nedrich was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Rylan Garver was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

North Star's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Blacklick Valley, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

North Star took their victory against Blacklick Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Star since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
