Baseball Recap: Wellston Comes Up Short

Wellston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Perkins-Tryon Demons, falling 14-7. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 10-1 to the Demons when the teams met back in May of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wellston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Perkins-Tryon, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellston will head out to take on Davenport at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Perkins-Tryon, they will venture away from home to face off against Bristow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
