Houston Christian won the last time they faced Heights and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 85-75. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Heights lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Eric (EJ) Beard, who posted 22 points along with five boards and three steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Eric Ekwegbara, who went 9-for-13 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds.

Houston Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Heights, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.

Coming up, Houston Christian will host Prestonwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.21 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Heights, they will square off against St. Francis Episcopal at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
