Soccer Game Preview: Milton vs. Walton

The Milton Eagles will head out to take on the Walton Raiders at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Milton has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Walton will arrive with four straight victories.

Last Thursday, Milton came up short against Gainesville and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Walton faced Etowah in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Raiders never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Walton's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Milton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Walton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Everything went Milton's way against Walton in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Milton made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
