The Bishop Manogue Miners will square off against the Reno Huskies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bishop Manogue is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Bishop Manogue is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Galena, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Bishop Manogue was ranked seventh). The Miners never let the Grizzlies get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won seven in a row.
Kaylee Sanchez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Sanchez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other pitching news, Sammi Boggs looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Lexi Bonanno was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Loralei Hysell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Bishop Manogue hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 13 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Reno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Damonte Ranch, falling 14-2.
Aaralynn Correa made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Reno's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21-1. As for Bishop Manogue, their win bumped their record up to 14-8-1.
Everything went Bishop Manogue's way against Reno when the teams last played back in March, as Bishop Manogue made off with an 18-1 victory. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
