Baseball Recap: Mansfield Summit Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Mansfield Summit challenged Castleberry on Thursday. The Jaguars walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Marcus Johnson was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Richard Graves, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Mansfield Summit always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Castleberry only posted an OBP of .375.

Mansfield Summit's record now sits at 2-0. As for Castleberry, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Mansfield Summit and Castleberry will both be playing Valley View the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will head out to face the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
