Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Elgin). They blew past the Elgin Maroons 25-2 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Storm, who have now won three matches in a row.
Justin Pold made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
