Soccer Recap: Southeast Polk Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Southeast Polk finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the Johnston Dragons by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for Southeast Polk in their meetings with Johnston: they've now lost six in a row.

Southeast Polk's loss dropped their record down to 11-9-2. As for Johnston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-5 record this season.

Southeast Polk wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Woodward-Granger on the 30th. Johnston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
