Newark Catholic won the last time they faced Granville Christian Academy, and Griffin Urdarovski did his part to make sure it happened again. The Newark Catholic Green Wave took down Granville Christian Academy 68-53 on Friday thanks in part to Urdarovski, who posted 14 points and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 15 times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Wesley Stone, who scored 14 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Newark Catholic and bumps their season record up to 7-16. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 6-17 Granville Christian Academy and 6-16 Granville Christian Academy. As for Granville Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Coming up, Newark Catholic will head out on the road to square off against Ridgedale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newark Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Ridgedale likes a good challenge. Granville Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
