Bethany Community waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Phoenix Academy Firebirds by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

While Bethany Community might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Phoenix Academy scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 24-26, 25-22, 25-22.

Bethany Community's offense was headlined by Gracie Andrews and Cambyll Shokes, who picked up ten kills apiece. Shokes really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 29. Audrey Waddell controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Bethany Community's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Phoenix Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Bethany Community wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Triad Math and Science Academy on the 13th. As for Phoenix Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Millennium on the 13th.
