Soccer Recap: Manatee Comes Up Short

Manatee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Venice Indians.

Manatee's goal came courtesy of John Cruz, which was the first he's scored this season.

Manatee's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Venice, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Manatee will take on Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cardinal Mooney will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last. As for Venice, they will take on Aubrey Rogers in a tournament on Wednesday. Aubrey Rogers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Venice surely won't give up without a fight.
