Volleyball Recap: Lillian Hunley Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Royalmont Academy Classical Prep

The CHESS Christian Royals made easy work of the Royalmont Academy Classical Prep Cristeros on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: CHESS Christian took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-6, 25-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead CHESS Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lillian Hunley, who hit 90% for nine kills and 17 aces and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Greta Miron, who had 15 assists and four aces.

CHESS Christian now has a winning record of 3-2.

CHESS Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Mars Hill Academy on the 22nd. As for Royalmont Academy Classical Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dominion Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 4.
