Softball Game Preview: Lakeside Dragons vs. Bristol Panthers

The Lakeside Dragons are taking a road trip to challenge the Bristol Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three games, but Tuesday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lakeside lost 21-1 to Geneva on Monday.

Jada Lavender was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bristol came up short against Mathews on Thursday, falling 16-5. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ellie Anderson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Mycie Workman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Bristol's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Lakeside might still be hurting after the 23-6 defeat they got from Bristol in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
