Recap: North Harrison Shamrocks vs. Gilman City Hawks
If the North Harrison Shamrocks were feeling good off their 54-32 takedown of the Winston Red Birds on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. North Harrison took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gilman City. North Harrison has struggled against Gilman City recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Shamrocks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keygun Johnson, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Gilpatrick, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals.
North Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gilman City, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Harrison will take on Winston at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Winston is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Gilman City, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Union Star at 7:30 p.m.
