Volleyball Recap: Griffith Comes Up Short

Griffith lost against Hobart back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Brickies.

Griffith took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 26-24.

Saniya Harper paced Griffith's offense, picking up seven kills. Harper were helped by Charlee Prutsman and Kaelin Bergdahl, who contributed seven assists each. Alani Tompkins controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Griffith has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Hobart, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-14.

Coming up, Griffith will head out to face off against East Chicago Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hobart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
