The Monroe Academy Volunteers will challenge the Clarke Prep Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Monroe Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Clarke Prep has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Monroe Academy had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Patrician Academy put an end to it on Friday. The Volunteers came up short against the Saints, falling 37-13. The contest marked the Volunteers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Clarke Prep lost 42-18 to Fort Dale Academy on Friday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Monroe Academy fell to 4-1. As for Clarke Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Monroe Academy against Clarke Prep in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 47-19 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Gators' Connor Bumpers, who threw for 228 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground.
