Bertie pushed their record up to 4-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points per game. As for North East Carolina Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

North East Carolina Prep took a serious blow against Bertie when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 90-47. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point North East Carolina Prep was down 45-20.
