Softball Recap: Clear Brook Takes a Loss

Clear Brook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 17-6 to the Brazoswood Buccaneers. The Wolverines were not able to make up for their loss to the Buccaneers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Ahiza Garcia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Estrella Rowe, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Clear Brook's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Brazoswood, the win got them back to even at 11-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clear Brook is set to square off against their familiar foe Clear Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brazoswood will challenge rival Clear Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
