Soccer Game Preview: Bell vs. South Gate

The Bell Eagles will face off against the South Gate Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Bell's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of South East on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 419th, while the Jaguars are ranked 68th).

Meanwhile, South Gate waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly two goals.

Bell now has a losing record at 6-7-2. As for South Gate, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5-3 record this season.
