Baseball Recap: Forrest Comes Up Short

Forrest has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.1 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tyler Baxter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Kason Fuller was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Forrest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Warren County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Coming up, Forrest will head out to square off against Shelbyville Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren County, they will face off against Sequatchie County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
