Basketball Recap: Sullivan County Takes a Loss

Sullivan County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights on Tuesday. The Griffins were not able to make up for their loss to the Golden Knights from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Daiton Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Neumann Regional Academy, putting up 23 points. Thompson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Walter, who posted 11 points.

Sullivan County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Neumann Regional Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Sullivan County will take on Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Neumann Regional Academy, they will challenge Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Neumann Regional Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
