Cypress Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Cypress Woods Wildcats 59-7. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 706th, while the Wildcats are ranked 186th).

Kyle Moss threw for 72 yards on four of nine attempts. Ethan Wright was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Garland Wilburn rushed for 50 yards.

A big part of the victory came down to the chemistry between Logan Johnson and his top target Brandon Brown. Johnson rushed for 82 yards on only six carries while Brown picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
